That’s a wrap on the SPE International Hydraulic Fracturing Technology Conference & Exhibition (IHFTC 2025) in Muscat, Oman! This premier global event brings together industry leaders, innovators, and researchers to explore advancements in hydraulic fracturing technology. Hosted by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), the conference serves as a collaborative platform to share technical knowledge, discuss field experiences, and shape the future of unconventional resource development.

CARBO Leadership on the Opening Executive Panel

We were proud to have strong CARBO representation throughout the conference. Our Chief Technology Officer, Terry Palisch, joined the Opening Executive Panel, where he shared valuable insights on the evolving landscape of hydraulic fracturing, technology innovation, and sustainability. His participation highlighted CARBO’s commitment to advancing industry best practices and contributing to meaningful dialogue around efficiency, performance, and environmental responsibility.

CARBO’s technical expertise was also on display through Pedro Saldungaray, one of our Technical Advisors, who presented the paper:
“Primary Screenless Completion Applications Restore Sand-free Production with Cost-Effective Intervention in La Yuca Field, Colombia.”
Pedro’s session demonstrated how innovative completion designs and CARBO’s solutions are enabling operators to achieve sustainable, sand-free production while optimizing cost and operational performance.
